The pink slipper project is not a non-profit organization. In the future, as this project grows, we will apply for non-profit status. For now our goal is to warm the hearts and toes of as many women and children as possible this winter. All donations will be used for the express purpose of providing slippers to women's and children's shelters.

Challenge II - The Pink Slipper Project will provide slippers for 163 teens at Vista Maria.

We've met our first challenge and have already started to make headway on our second Pink Slipper comfort challenge. As many of you know, Terry Grahl of Enchanted Makeovers is just about to complete the 2009 vision makeover project at Vista Marie Shelter. Her organization will be making over one building that houses 20 young women ages 11-17.

Terry and I spoke and felt that we wanted to warm the hearts and toes of the other 163 young women that live at Vista Maria. The girls that are not a part of the makeover project will receive a pair of "handmade - with love" slippers from the Pink Slipper Project. We hope to meet this challenge by November 1st.

We know this is a huge challenge, but we are 34 pair of slippers into the challenge already! That just leaves 129 to go! I hope you'll join us as we work hard and fast to provide slippers for these young women.

About Vista Maria
