The Pink Slipper Project

Look at all of the slippers we made at The Pink Slipper Sew-a-thon.

I just want to give you a peek at the slippers we made at the Sew-a-thon on Saturday. I haven't embellished them yet, but I hope to in the next day or two.

Saturday's sew-a-ton here in Colonial Heights was a huge success! Thanks to family and friends.

The Pink Slipper Project Sew-a-thon is Saturday October 24th - please pledge

Won't you please join us Saturday October 24th as we strive to complete our 2nd Comfort Challenge.

Ways that you can help:
- Host a Pink Slipper Sew-a-thon for your friends and family this Saturday October 24th.
- Invite everyone! If they can't sew.. they can knit, crochet or even cut out slippers and iron layers.
- Invite everyone to bring a dish - make it pot luck.
- Donate fabrics and supplies to the Pink Slipper Project. Email pledge: info@thepinkslipperproject.org
- Ask all participants to bring fabric, batting and sewing machines.
- Invite everyone on your email list or online groups to host a sew-a-thon.
- Promote the Sew-a-thon on your blog and in your newsletters.
- Take lots of pics of your sew-a-thon to be posted on the PSP site.
- Have fun while at the same time warming hearts and toes of women and children this winter.

Calling all stitchers.. Come sign up for the Pink Slipper Sew-A-Thon. Get as many people as you can to pledge slippers or join you for an afternoon or evening of sewing, stitching, cutting out slippers, knitting or crocheting!

Please leave a comment on this thread or on our Facebook page if you're in! We'll be posting fun ideas for your own Pink Slipper Party!

There are many ways you can participate. Please help us spread the word to get as many people as possible stitching on the 24th!

We didn't take pics of all 9 pair of slippers because each was so nicely bagged as a care package with other goodies. What a wonderful idea and I know just the challenge we'll use these for. Our next Challenge III - we'll be providing slippers for a downtown Detroit girls shelter. These will fit in with Enchanted makeover's plans beautifully!
